Reviews for The Connection Series
“If I could give this a million stars I would”
Everything about this was magic. This story was absolutely incredible. I loved every little detail sprinkled within, the mystery, the chase and the ending. Oh my, the ending. I am craving to read the next book and any other story Esme Carmichael writes because this was utterly breathtaking.

“An utterly immersive and compelling story”
This book was utterly brilliant. I enjoyed it imensely. When I finished it, it was with a mixture of excitement and regret. I was excited about what's going to happen next. Where is this story going to go now? I need to find out! It was the perfect way to end this book, but also leave it on a cliffhanger.
The regret was because I had finished the book!

“It will leave you desperate for more!”
The tension I felt while reading 'The End of Everything' was like being seized around the throat (in the best, most thrilling way possible). There was no letting go once it had got started on me! …I felt transported to the frozen wastes of the New World, and the characters continue to live in my head rent-free as I wait on tenterhooks for Book 2!

FAQs for The Connection Series
What genre is The Connection Series?
In the past, I’ve always describe TCS as a dark, dystopian fantasy, although it’s probably more appropriate to describe it as gritty and grim-dark. While it is most certainly fantasy, there are no creatures or magic so it falls under the Low Fantasy sub-genre. The world itself is violent and brutal, with dark themes heavily explored throughout.
Can The Waltz of Wolves be read before the main series?
Part 1 can definitely be read before or during the main books in TCS. Although I’d recommend reading Parts 2 and 3 after The Mover of Mountains, due to potential spoilers.
How many books will there be in the series?
TCS is a tetralogy, so there will be four books in the main series. There’s also a prequel novel — The Waltz of Wolves — which will be released as three separate novellas in between the main books.
What is your publishing timeline?
As most of the Books have already been written, I’m hoping to publish them in relatively quick succession. The Mover of Mountains will be released on the 3rd May 2021, then The Sound of Silence in November 2021, and then Book Four sometime during Spring 2022. In conjunction with these planned releases, The Waltz of Wolves: Part 2 will be coming around July 2021, and then The Waltz of Wolves: Part 3 during early 2022.
Do your books have Content Warnings?
Yes. All my books have a comprehensive list of content warnings (including the relevant chapters, where appropriate) at the back of the ebook/paperback. If you would like to see the list beforehand, please do not hesitate to get in touch and I will send the lists to you directly.
Are you planning to release a paperback version of The Waltz of Wolves?
Most definitely! I will release all three Parts of The Waltz of Wolves as a single paperback novel, which will release alongside the Part 3 ebook.
Every minute was a lifetime and immortality was too short for that…
